Our story
A car worth keeping deserves a shop that knows it.
Kim Micklesen opened All Vovo in 1982 because he believed Volvo builds a car worth keeping. Safe, reliable and built to last, as long as someone takes good care of it.
The shop started out in Greenwood and later settled into its home on 15th Ave NW in Ballard. The idea hasn't changed along the way: work only on Volvos, know them inside and out, and make the shop a comfortable place to bring yours.
We look your car over, give you the full picture and help you decide what to fix first, with your safety and your budget in mind. We want you to understand the how and the why behind any repair. If you have a question, just ask.
And yes, about the name
It's spelled that way on purpose.
All Vovo. Say it out loud and you'll get it. It still gets a smile at the front desk.
So does the rest of the place. Charlene, the newest star of the front-office fish tank, has big fins to fill. THE ART CAR, a customer's hand-painted Volvo, is a regular guest in the lot. And there's usually a fresh printed meme taped up by the counter.
